Confessions of a Gambler

I love to gamble even though I'm not very lucky when I do.  Because I lose almost all of the time, I wonder what it is about gambling that I enjoy...the following is it.

I like the teensy thrill I get when I hit the spin button because there is always the chance I'll win something.

I like the happy atmosphere of the casino.

I like the lights and sounds of someone else winning.

I like the anonymity when I'm at a machine and not conversing with the strangers next to me.

I like the short conversations with the people sitting next to me.

I like the silly bonuses because they always mean more winnings.

I like the colorful games.

I like that I can control my love of gambling by only going once a month and by leaving when I've lost my allotted money.  I rarely fail confining myself to these rules.

Today I'm meeting Dee at Fallsview and that's a double enjoyment because I love her company, too.  We meet at Fallsview a few times over the summer but can continue our love of gambling when we both get to 3W in the winter.  Dee, like Mary, wins regularly while I win rarely.  Regardless, we love to gamble and that's fine as long a we know our limits.

Gambling isn't a sin, it's entertainment!
