The Terrorists Within

Native Indians have published a how-to video on YouTube showing detailed information on how to sabotage our train system.

Government was quick to react. They're going to push for more rapid resolutions to Indian land claims. Idiots!

Now, my first reaction to the video was that finally the government would realize that we have our own home grown terrorists who have been allowed to get away with murder for way too long. Surely now these criminals would face punishment for their crimes. But no.

Apparently if you are a native you can disrail trains, tear up bridges, blockade highways, assault citizens and even the police, disturb the everyday lives and livelihood of law abiding citizens, etc., etc., etc. without fear of paying for your crimes.

And all the while you're doing these things you can continue to draw compensation or welfare from the citizens you're assaulting.

Is there something wrong with this picture?

When a people terrorize their neighbors as these Indians have done they should not be rewarded. They should be punished just as you or I would be.

The government response to terrorist activity such as this is a joke.

hey- a couple points. the video instructs how to stop a train by triggereing the lights... its not how to de-rail a train. theres a big difference. the former causes economic "damage," ie, losses for big corporations. that hits the pocketbook but its not terrorism- no one gets hurt or any of that nonsense. the latter is actually a disaster, but no-one is advocating it. secondly, the video doesnt even look like it made by natives. rather, it looks like anarchists or non-natives wishing to express solidarity with natives. not like these point will change your mind, but they migh as well be taken into consideration before the scare-mongering gets out of hand. lastly you said"When a people terrorize their neighbors as these Indians have done they should not be rewarded. They should be punished just as you or I would be." well, the canadian governemnt has spend a couple hundred years terrorizing the indians, and i dont see anyone getting punuished for that. standards have to apply both ways. if injustices against natives were dealt with, there would be no blockades. we have a military responsibility to see justice done to our allies, the six nations. by its own principles, the military shoudl have long ago seen that the six nations were respected rather than exploited. alas, those chickens have come home to roost and eveyone wants to forget history.
