I got married so young that I never really learned how to flirt or recognize flirting but I did learn to be afraid when even a hint of what I thought might be flirting arose, though. I honestly can't remember my husband ever flirting with me, either.
And so...there I was at the casino when I sat next to a very good looking man, maybe in his 60's. I speak to everyone now but he spoke first, complaining about how much money he'd already lost. He had an adorable English accent.
Then he won a jackpot just as I moved to another machine. He told me I couldn't leave because I'd brought him good luck...I just laughed and played at my new machine. Once I lost enough, I stood up to leave and he immediately asked me to stay because I was now his lucky charm. I laughed again, wished him good luck, and went my merry way.
Was he flirting?
Update: Again, my girls read the blog and the consensus is that, yes, he was flirting. I told Faye the story and she gave me heck for not seeing how far it would go but I'm not like that. I'm far too old to play that game!
