Another U.S. Shooting/Killing

Nothing has changed since all those precious children were murdered at Sandy Hook and I know nothing will change after the mass murders in Las Vegas.  I'll never understand why automatic firearms at the very least can't be outlawed in the States.  I think 59 people lost their lives after a gun owner went crazy and started shooting at people brought together for a concert in Las Vegas.  They didn't have a chance.

Many thought it was fireworks but soon realized it was an automatic weapon shooting at them and they were like fish in a barrel.  He was on an upper floor of a hotel overlooking the concert and his mind snapped.  Bad as that seems, his mind snapped after he had the use of an automatic weapon.

Nope, nothing will change and mass murders like this have almost become commonplace in the States.  I can't rightly put all the blame on the NRA because it is the majority of the citizens of the U.S. who vote to keep their privilege of being permitted to own whatever weaponry they want.  I heard that some even own bazookas.

I was in a flea market in Florida a couple of years ago and a man holding some kind of rifle in his hands walked right by me through the throngs of people.  I'm not gun knowledgeable so I don't know if it was real or not but I'll bet very few people there could tell the difference, either.  That man could have been walking around with a loaded rifle looking for a place to start shooting.  You see, not only are they allowed to have a weapon but they are also allowed to walk around with them.  We, the innocents, are at the mercy of their intentions.

No, I know nothing will change because of one more mass shooting/murder because the mind set of most of the citizens is that they need a gun to protect themselves.  They will point out that many a citizen carrying a gun has been able to prevent a mass shooting.  They don't accept that the widespread ownership of guns means there will be more mass shootings by unstable people.

Ask any Canadian if they feel safer in Canada or the States and they will en masse tell you that, of course it's safer in Canada because gun ownership is minute here compared to the States.  Yes, we do have some gun violence by criminals but it seldom rises to the level of mass shootings.  Can the Americans say the same?

There is only one reason to own an automatic weapon and that is to be able to kill as many people as possible before having to reload.
