Something that gets my back up is when someone doesn't agree with you and they twist your words to mean something entirely different from what you said. What I said today is that we shouldn't apologize for our beliefs and one of my family members asked if that meant she shouldn't need to apologize for hers??? How does this even make sense?
I have family and friends who see the world differently than I do but that doesn't ruin the relationship. I've often said that we shouldn't apologize for our beliefs so I don't know how my words could be misconstrued like that. It matters to me to try to understand what's going on here. It doesn't matter to me at all what the family member believes or doesn't believe.
